Osada-Ryu Single-column Tie with “safety”
The single-column tie we use for chest harness (Gote) in Osada-Ryu is simple to tie, and extremely stable. It has the added benefit of being quickly and easily released.
Round Knot (Marumusubi) Single-column Tie
The Round Knot (Marumusubi) is a very stable base. Though a bit more complicated to tie, it will not deform under normal pressure. As shown in the last two photos, it can also be tied as a "safety".
“Granny Knot” Single-column Tie
The "granny knot" is not as elegant as the "square knot", but when used in a single-column tie is more stable and less likely to deform. In his videos, you will most often see Yukimura-sensei using this.
